Electronic Technician

Company Overview:
ProPetro is a growth-oriented, Midland, Texas-based oilfield services company providing hydraulic fracturing and other complementary services to leading upstream oil and gas companies engaged in the exploration and production of North American unconventional oil and natural gas resources. This position is an INTEGRAL part of our rapidly growing Midland office and provides opportunities to contribute in a variety of ways.

Job Details:
Maintains all electronic instrumentation used to monitor and control oil field service equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Learns to repair electronic instrumentation and automation equipment used to monitor and control well servicing equipment including pressure, flow, temperature and density devices
  • Learns to calibrate electronic monitoring and control equipment
  • Learns to work from technical manuals and electrical schematics to diagnose and repair equipment failures
  • Learns procedures for completing paperwork
  • Operates light duty trucks
  • Drives company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads with paved and gravel surface, and off road situations including two track roads
  • Learns general housekeeping and routine maintenance of Company property
  • Learns and follows all ProPetro HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies at all times
  • Knows and uses appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times
  • Willing and able to make schedule appointments when required and work alternate shifts as requested by supervisor
  • Willing and able to be on call nights and/or holidays
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Technical Associate’s degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electronic instrumentation and automation equipment
  • 6 Months experience maintaining and repairing electronic instrumentation and automation equipment on well servicing equipment or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or higher in relevant field may be considered in lieu of experience
